Guess what I can do...

So this morning I surprised my mommy and rolled over! I wasn't really happy about it after the fact but mommy was. My sister didn't turn over till she was 3 months old...I must be really strong. See how high I can push myself up? Mommy thought it would be a few more weeks before I rolled over but I showed her.

Pumpkin carving time...

Just look how good these guys are doing! Carving pumpkins at Papa & Grandma's was fun! And what were the kids doing after the initial fun wore off?

Why, playing in the dog house- of course! What else could they possibly do?
Maybe play on the trampoline? But, that's what hanging out at your grandparents' is all about!

And what about those pumpkins? Here's the finished result-

The one on the left is Dylan's creation, the one on the right is Lily's (executed by mommy).

Run Lily, RUN!!

Lily just loves to get on the treadmill and run. Of course it isn't moving but she likes to pretend. It is actually pretty funny to watch her basically running in place and hear her say, " Run, run, run."

Playtime

Yeahhhh! Mommy decided to pull out a toy she had saved from Lily to see what Riley would do. He really liked it. It was very nice to have him content. He didn't mind so much being on his back and when that got boring, he had some tummy time too.
And Lily joined in the fun. She took the parrot off and pretended it was her pet. It went to school with her and everything (pretend school). This is a new game she likes to play...probably because all her friends in the neighborhood go to school. Hopefully Riley will continue enjoying this playtime and Lily will too.

Take your pick...

So we decided to take Lily's 4 year pictures at the park this year. These three are the top runners up. For those of you that normally get a copy- if you have a preference for a certain picture, please let me know. I personally like them all! I will be sending out pictures next week sometime.

And Now Introducing Monkey #2...

Riley is now 7 weeks old! Can you believe how fast the time has gone. He is starting to coo and ahh at things. It is so much fun! He loves to eat ( if you couldn't tell). We are settling into a nice routine for naps and bedtime. Thankfully Sissy is still cooperating and laying down for a rest at the same time in the afternoon so mommy gets a break! Don't want a crazy mommy monkey :) It also helps that he is starting to wake up once at night instead of twice. We're not quite there yet all the time, but I'll take what I can get. Before I know it he'll be walking and talking so I am enjoying every stage while it's here!

Welcome to our family...

We love to keep everyone in the loop as to what is going on in our lives so what better way than a blog that you can check at your convience? As the title suggests, we are a family of monkey doodles. What that means exactly is for you to figure out...I don't really know myself. It is something we call the kids affectionately. So for now, enjoy the picture of my #1 monkey.
